I am a PhD candidate in Political Science at the University of Washington. My research interests include state-business relations, bureaucratic politics, and local governance, with a regional focus on China.
My current research agenda centers on how the characteristics of industries and the collective action of economic elites shape economic policy in China. In terms of research methods, I’m interested in using computational methods to analyze official archives and documents.
Before entering UW, I received my M.A. in Regional Studies-East Asia from Harvard University, and another M.A. in Political Science and B.A. in History from Beijing Normal University, China.
