I am a PhD student in Political Science at University of Washington. My research interests include authoritarian politics, state-business relations, bureaucratic politics, and local governance.

My current research agenda centers on how particularistic state-business connections and the collective action of economic elites shape economic policy in China. In terms of research methods, I’m interested in using computational methods to analyze official archives and documents.

Before entering UW, I received my M.A. in Regional Studies-East Asia from Harvard University, and another M.A. in Political Science and B.A. in History from Beijing Normal University, China.
